The BodyBar method was created by trainer Pippi Vaughan, co-owner of bodybar. The concept of The BodyBar Method is to get an effective overall workout that combines several disciplines of fitness. In Pippi’s twelve years of being a trainer she found that it is a combination of many factors that help us to overcome plateaus and ultimately gets us to our fitness goals. If we constantly challenge our bodies in new ways and more importantly stay interested and motivated in what we are doing, we can persevere towards our fitness goals. Pippi believes variety is the spice of life and the beauty of The BodyBar Method is that you can get all your fitness needs packed into one dynamic workout. All factors of

 offer unique benefits to our bodies. After completing the 55 minute class you will have achieved a full body cardio and strength based workout.

The BodyBar Method

 is based on the following five factors:

Pilates = increases core strength and flexibility and promotes proper overall body alignment through using the pilates springboard, pilates bands, and pilates mat based exercises.

Cardio = timed Intervals and functional training techniques are incorporated throughout the entire workout to increase your heart rate and burn the most calories per hour.

Weight training = it is proven that by increasing ones lean body mass your body becomes a more efficient calorie burning machine. Muscle burns calories much quicker than fat so guess what, don’t be afraid of using weights! Weight training is the QUICKEST way to increase your lean body mass and to get rid of the spare tire around the middle.

Nutrition = fitness results are 80% related to proper diet and sufficient caloric intake. With our busy lives and warped diet ideas we all need help to get back on a balanced program. It’s all about energy in versus energy out. If you burn more calories than you take in, you WILL lose inches. The key is to lower your caloric intake just enough that your can preserve and increase your muscle tissue. One important factor to remember is if you cut TOO MANY calories all your hard work goes down the tubes! Lack of nutritional calories = loss of muscle tissue = loss of fat burning power. As part of
